“ Eileen's is truly a hidden gem. They offer a wide selection of homemade cakes, which are outstanding. In my opinion, these are the best cakes in Richmond. The apple cake was packed with fruit, the fruit and cream cake was wonderfully fresh and light, and the ginger cake had a rich, gingery flavor with a delightful sticky caramel texture. The coffee (Illy) is also excellent and the service is very friendly. Plus, the view is fantastic. What’s not to love? ”
“ Really lovely park cafe. The staff are so friendly. Lots of people came and talked to the owners/staff. Very welcoming. The food was delicious and clearly homemade. I can't wait to make their vegetarian roll. Love when you talk to someone who works in a cafe and knows whats in it and how it is made. Very impressed. And tasty desserts. Thanks for a nice break during our walk. ”
“ What a lovely surprise nestled in a corner of Buccleuch garden’s with a great view of the Thames is Eileen’s cafe with some of the best coffee and cakes that I’ve had in London, this place is totally unpretentious and assuming and scores my five stars for the quality of the food and service. Why don’t you stop there on your next walk through the garden’s your dog will love it too because they have doggie water bowls ”
“ Excellent location for a riverside cafe. Good selection of homemade cakes, - try their fruit cake. Deserves our support ”
“ Visited Eileen's twice during a short break near Richmond Park, once for a full on Breakfast, and again for some wonderful homemade cake and coffee we also took away slices of their festive turkey and mushroom pie, for an evening snack. Their food is delicious and at 8.50 for a fried breakfast you can't go wrong. The location right on the Thames makes it idyllic and it's within walking distance of the town centre. I can't recommend Eileen's enough. ”
“ Located just off Petersham road Eileen's is one of Richmond's crown jewels. We had the Victoria Sponge and the Chocolate Ganache cakes baked freshly by Tim. Can say that they're the best I've had so far, this side of the world! Very calm and scenic setting by the river garden. Will definitely be a regular here ”
“ Great little cafe ! The carrot and ginger cakes were delicious, and the kids loved the ice cream. Friendly service and a perfect spot for a quick treat near Richmond Park. ”
“ My favourite local riverside cafe. Unpretentious, with some amazing home made cakes. Banana bread ‘slab’ was fab yesterday. Coffee also good (and I’m fussy!). Lovely friendly staff and dog friendly. Nice views from the front terrace over the Thames and green spaces. And far less tourists than closer to Richmond. ”
